What A Woman Wants...

What a woman wants....photographically speaking of course...but really it doesn't matter as one's perception of one's self is colored by what others communicate to one either with a look, a word, or body language...

Or in more plain english...we are the sum of what we think we are and what others think we are...for the most part...

As an artist and a photographer, I feel the emotions, concerns, self-doubt and self deprecation
that many women feel...but then there are the strong types who exude self confidence...and they are a breath of fresh air in this sometimes stagnant world ! but I also enjoy helping the less than confident get to that point as well...

To all the women I have photographed, I simply say "thank you" for sharing of yourself and allowing me the privilege of capturing a part of you...It was an honor that I hope to continue to have and I look forward to many more interesting shoots...

I truly love my job and although it is called a job from a business perspective, I feel it is a joy and I look forward to it each day...

Our Love Story

Another sample of the finale of the DVD...

This follows the coverage of the reception and is a compilation of the events of the day. Every wedding is a special and one-of-a-kind event so even this "Love Story" only emphasizes the individuality of each.

I am currently working on a few music videos and modeling compilations as well as some works for some clients here in town. I will post some examples of those in the future...

Again, I am hoping to get some real feedback, some real suggestions, some real thoughts about how I could make these better...I do not claim to have a strangle hold on all creativity...everyone is creative in their own way and I would love to hear what you have to say...SO...If you love it, say it...if you hate it, say it....if you think it could be better...TELL ME HOW !!!!!   I promise that I am a humble artist / craftsman and would love comments...

Thanks,
Mo

ps Liquid has lead me into this blogging world and I still have much to learn but decided to bear a bit of my soul here....ha ha...

Another side of me...

Thought I would share one of my many works as a wedding videographer...

I have been doing the videography gig for a few years now and continue to
study and improve my craft and my art...This is the opening segment on the DVD that
leads into the multi - cam production of the wedding ceremony...

I would appreciate any comments or feedback here....

Photography and Women....

Thought I would walk thru a field of land mines on Friday....LOL

As a professional photographer and videographer, I have observed that photography and women coexist in a love / hate relationship.  From my perspective, I strive to make EVERY woman I photograph as gorgeous as I can through lighting, posing, clothing, makeup, hair styling and yes, even a bit of Photoshopping....BUT...here is the real question...

How much photoshopping is too much ? and how do you know ?   and how do you handle the psyche of a woman when you ask these questions ?  I mean....I try to talk to each subject in a professional manner but it is difficult for many women to talk about their imperfections, even from a professional standpoint...a sort of denial I suppose... and obviously I don't want to offend them and I don't want to make them look plastic either (unless they happen to want that)

But I am getting to where I am offering two types of retouching...the basic which includes just the basic wrinkles, etc....and the extensive which includes everything all the way to actual reshaping, body enhancements, etc....  I think I will post a before and after set of photos on here if I can get someone to let me do it...ha ha....

Mo

Just an intro...let me say that I am a photographer and videographer by trade at present. I am also a retired band director of 27 years.  I still practice my trade and love as a musician from time to time, but spend more time with the camera and the computer these days.

I was introducted here by Liquid and appreciate her help and support.  I admire her photographic work and envy her wonderful eye for detail.  Hopefully, I will be able to learn from some of her examples and many more in the most interesting world of blogging...

Be patient as I attempt to figure out all the stuff this sofware and site will do...and I will welcome any help to make this an easier transition.
